In The Life Of Emma...

Emma's officially one year old, as of Tuesday 2/28/12! Matt and I were just talking that it's hard to even remember what it was like when she was a new born. It's hard to imagine she used to fit into her "newborn" sized outfits. Now, we have a toddler who has a mind of her own, and can think for herself. Crazy!

I took Emma to her 1 year check up yesterday, and she is 20lbs and 31 inches tall. She's in the 90th percentile for height, and right under the average for weight. She had so much fun at the doctor's office, even showing off for the doctor with her "speaking" skills and flashing a few sly smiles. That was, until she got her vaccinations, then she wasn't so playful. She only cried for a minute or two, then she was fine. When it came time to get her dressed, I attempted to lie her down on the chair where she received her shots, and she was not having it. It made me laugh, her mind is so sharp already! I just love her to pieces.

We have been taking it easy this week, after having her birthday party events last week, I am just completely worn out. Still. Emma has loved playing with all her new toys she got for her birthday, and also loved the present she got from Grandma Entwistle.

Now, we prepare for MEXICO!! I have bought most of Emma's things she'll need, but of course have nothing yet for myself. Isn't that how motherhood goes, anyways? Putting your kids first just comes naturally as a Mom, and you don't really have to think about it. It's the best job I've ever had.

Here's what Emma has been up to:

We took a drive up the canyon last Sunday, Emma loved it!

Playing with her vacuum Aunt Crissy and Uncle Owen bought her, she loves it!

That tongue...

Trying to share her binkies with Ryno, he wasn't too interested

Opening her present from Grandma and Grandpa Entwistle!

We love our little angel!
